Supervision

Update (December 2023) - I will be unable to offer UROP projects for the summer 2024.

PhD Students

I welcome applications from potential PhD students through the Mathematics Research Doctoral Programme, or through the EPSRC CDT in Statistics and Machine Learning (StatML) at Imperial College London and University of Oxford. The projects I offer are suitable for candidates with a strong background in statistics and mathematics, with an interest in programming and computation. If you are interested in a PhD position under my supervision, please contact me via email before submitting an application. It would be useful if you could attach your curriculum vitae and transcripts to your email.

MSc/MSci/MEng students

I supervise MSc students in the MSc Statistics (mostly in the Applied and Data Science streams), and MSc Machine Learning and Data Science (Online) at Imperial College London. Also, I supervise M4R projects in the MSci Mathematics and individual projects in the MEng Joint Mathematics and Computing (JMC) at Imperial College London. If you are interested in a MSc/MEng project under my supervision, please contact me via email.

At the moment, I am unable to supervise additional projects from other programmes.

Mary Lister McCammon Summer Research Fellowships

I supervise Mary Lister McCammon Summer Research Fellows. If you are a woman who will be undertaking the final year of a masters degree (integrated or stand-alone) in the next academic year, then you are eligible for the programme. If you are interested in the fellowship programme and you would be interested in having me as supervisor, please contact me via email.

Undergraduate students

I mostly supervise undergraduate students through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) at Imperial College London. Normally, all UROP positions under my supervision gets filled before the college-wide deadline for funding. Normally, most students apply to UROPs in January. If you are interested in applying for a UROP, please contact me via email. It would be useful if you could attach your curriculum vitae and transcripts to your email.
